Proterra eliminates emissions daily in communities across the U.S. Among the 20 cities where Proterra buses have logged more than 3.3 million miles of revenue service, more than 12 million pounds of CO2 emissions have been avoided. Specifically, for the City of Seneca, South Carolina/CATBUS, their Proterra all-electric fleet has achieved more than 450,000 of revenue service. Beginning in 2015, CATBUS has purchased zero gallons of diesel to serve Seneca’s transit routes. This translates to a demand drop of more than 100,000 gallons of diesel. Seneca’s Proterra electric fleet emissions reductions are just as impressive with more than 2,500,000 lbs. of tailpipe GHG emissions prevented and more than 1,300,000 lbs. of GHG emissions eliminated even when factoring in electricity generation.
